Labtec LCS-2424 subwoofer mod

What is the story? Mate, have that Labtec set, but want to use only the woofer. Well, first was almost sure can be done fast and easy with some cut and glue.. but.. was wrong. Without the first board didn`t manage to make the second one to work.
For the purpose I cut the cables, and same time the tracks from the mainboard plug to the rest of the board. Then measure what color goes where.

3×74HC595 - arduino simple test

parts: one arduino uno, 3 x 74HC595, 8 x RGB diodes with common ground pin, 8×220ohm resistors for the red pins, and 150ohms for the rest. Power supply: two 7805 regulators in parallel. Seems in that way do not overheat if all LEDs are on full power, 3×220uF caps, and one 47nF cap. 12V as supply.

the story: there was again some idea of car dash backlight and that was just test what can be created.

Lenovo K910 power cable fix

Lenovo K910 - not that bad phone, but the owner of that Chinese marvel grumble that in few days it did charge only from time to time, and when move the power supply cable sometimes it work sometimes not.
From ebay was ordered new ribbon cable and here how it goes..

TURBOX notebook power supply fix

That article is about mate`s notebook TURBOX which didn`t start. Simple device based on INTEL processor. As you can see from the pictures there are not so much “inwards” in that device. What I have is to check if it start on battery - NO. Power plug on place - nobody. To get access to the mainboard power points I have to remove the keyboard.

Philips BT speaker / Sony amp / Nexus 7

What is the story here:
Philips BT speaker: the small charging port-plug seems to have problem with it mainboard contacts. Thin solder iron tip, and job done. To open the speaker, remove the “sweater” , undo the bottom 3 screws and be careful with the small wires.
